Google Thinks We’re Smart

Google Inc. Chief Executive Eric Schmidt calls the deal that Microsoft Corp. struck with Facebook and Twitter a “smart move” for the software giant.

Microsoft earlier Wednesday signed deals with Facebook and Twitter to integrate the real-time status updates and feeds into its upstart search engine, Bing. While Bing commands a low share of the search market relative to Google, having access to such popular services might give it an edge in swaying over active users.
